Dhaka, 08 July 2026: Sheltech Group has unveiled an investment plan worth Tk1,504 crore aimed at expanding its presence across multiple high-growth sectors, including agriculture, real estate, textiles, manufacturing, and renewable energy.
The diversified business conglomerate expects the new investments to create approximately 45,000 employment opportunities, with a large number of jobs expected to come through contract farming initiatives and expanded industrial operations.
Established in 1988, Sheltech Group has grown into one of Bangladesh’s leading business houses with operations spanning real estate, construction, premium wall and floor tiles, electric poles, agriculture, garments and textiles, hospitality, and several other service industries.
According to the company, the latest investment programme is designed to strengthen the country’s industrial capacity, enhance export competitiveness, promote sustainable economic growth, and create long-term employment opportunities.
The group said a significant portion of the planned projects will be financed through its own resources, while the remaining investments will be supported through joint ventures, bank financing, and foreign investment.
Sheltech Group Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed said the expansion reflects the company’s confidence in Bangladesh’s economic outlook and the increasing global demand for products manufactured in the country.
“These investments will help us expand industrial production, increase export earnings, generate employment, and contribute to the country’s long-term economic development,” he said.
The company also noted that its long-standing focus on quality, timely project delivery, strong corporate governance, and sustainable business practices has enabled it to earn the trust of customers and stakeholders over the past three decades.
The new investment initiative aligns with Bangladesh’s broader industrialisation goals and is expected to contribute to the development of both traditional and emerging sectors, particularly renewable energy and modern agriculture.
