Dhaka, May 2026: Prime Bank PLC has appointed seasoned banker Faisal Rahman as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from May 24, 2026.
With more than three decades of experience in the banking industry, Faisal Rahman brings deep expertise in corporate and institutional banking, structured finance, sustainable finance, corporate strategy, and large-scale project financing.
Prior to taking over as CEO, he served as Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer of Wholesale Banking at Prime Bank PLC. In that role, he played a key part in leading the bank’s Corporate Banking Transformation Program and strengthening relationships with major corporate and institutional clients.
Over the course of his career, Rahman has held senior leadership roles at several leading financial institutions, including Prime Bank PLC, Eastern Bank PLC, Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, and Crédit Agricole Indosuez.
He is widely recognized for leading several landmark financing initiatives across sectors such as power and energy, infrastructure, aviation, and sustainable finance, contributing to the country’s broader economic and industrial development.
According to the bank, Rahman’s appointment reflects Prime Bank’s continued focus on strengthening leadership, accelerating business transformation, and expanding its position in Bangladesh’s competitive banking sector.
Faisal Rahman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has also participated in multiple executive leadership and professional development programs both locally and internationally and is an Omega Certified Credit Professional.
