Dhaka, 24 July 2026: The Dhaka District Administration has officially launched the ‘Hello DC’ mobile application, a new digital platform aimed at making public services more accessible, efficient, and citizen-centric.

The app was inaugurated on Tuesday (21 July) at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Dhaka. The initiative was introduced under the leadership of Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize public service delivery through digital transformation.

With the ‘Hello DC’ app, citizens can access a wide range of district administration services from their homes, eliminating the need for frequent visits to government offices. Users can submit applications, lodge complaints, seek information, and track the progress of their requests directly through the platform.

The application offers services related to land administration, law and order, relief assistance, social safety net programmes, licensing, NGO affairs, mutation, vested property, public grievances, and other essential citizen services. It also allows users to schedule appointments with the Deputy Commissioner through the app.

Initially, the application is available for download through hellodc.bd. Following the completion of the review process, it will also be available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Citizens can additionally access the download link through the official Facebook page of the Dhaka District Administration.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam said the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to bringing government services closer to citizens through technology.

“Our goal is to ensure government services reach citizens at their doorsteps. This technology-driven initiative will reduce time, costs, and unnecessary hassles while making the district administration more transparent, accountable, and service-oriented,” she said.

According to the district administration, the platform will continue to evolve with additional features and services in the coming phases. The long-term vision is to transform ‘Hello DC’ into a comprehensive digital service platform that integrates all major district administration services into a single application.

The launch of the app marks another step in Bangladesh’s broader digital governance agenda, leveraging technology to improve public service delivery and strengthen citizen engagement.
