Md Khalid Mahmood Khan has taken charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Southeast Bank PLC, effective 27 November 2025. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer at Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB).
Khalid Mahmood brings over three decades of banking experience, including twenty-six years at MTB, where he held several key leadership positions. He served as Senior Executive Vice-President and Head of Wholesale Banking Division–02 and previously managed three major MTB branches—Principal, Dilkusha, and Panthapath—for a combined tenure of thirteen years.
He began his banking career in 1994 as a probationary officer at Agrani Bank PLC. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise across multiple banking segments, including corporate banking, institutional banking, SME and retail business, as well as international trade and foreign exchange.
Khalid Mahmood is a graduate of the University of Dhaka and holds an MBA. He has also participated in various local and international training programmes and professional conferences, strengthening his capabilities as a seasoned and strategic banking leader.
