The government has appointed new Director Generals (DGs) to four key departments and has also promoted an Additional Secretary to Grade-1.
Separate notifications regarding the appointments were issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday night (December 15).
Mohammad Mahmud Hasan, Chairman of the Land Appeal Board, has been appointed as the new Director General of the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys. He was previously under a transfer order as Chairman of the National Housing Authority. A Grade-1 officer, Mahmud Hasan’s service has now been placed under the Ministry of Land following the appointment.
Meanwhile, A K M Oli Ullah, Director General of the Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura, has been appointed as Director General of the Hydrocarbon Unit under the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
At the same time, A B M Mahbub Alam, Director of the National Academy for Development Administration (NADA), has been appointed as the new Director General of the Rural Development Academy.
Oli Ullah has been assigned to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, while Mahbub Alam’s service has been placed under the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division.
In addition, Abul Faiz Md Alauddin, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has been appointed as the new Director General of the DNA Laboratory Management Directorate. Following the appointment, his service has been placed under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
Separately, ATM Siddiqur Rahman, Additional Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, has been promoted to Grade-1. After the promotion, he has been made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Public Administration.
