The closing ceremony of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC’s two-day Annual Business Development Conference was held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka.
Professor Dr. M. Zubairur Rahman, Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, delivered the keynote speech as the chief guest. The program was presided over by the Managing Director, Md. Omar Faruk Khan, and attended by special guests including Mohammad Khurshid Wahab, Chairman of the Executive Committee; Md. Abdus Salam, FCA, FCS, Chairman of the Audit Committee; and Mufti Shamsuddin Zia, Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Council.
The welcome speech was delivered by Additional Managing Director Md. Altaf Hossain. Senior executives from the bank’s head office, heads of 16 zones, and managers from 400 branches participated in the conference, including Additional Managing Director Engineer Mohammad Jamal Uddin Majumdar and Dr. M. Kamal Uddin Josim.
