The Africa–Bangladesh Trade Show and Business Forum 2025 was successfully held in Addis Ababa, marking an important step toward strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two regions. The event brought together senior government officials, corporate leaders, and representatives from key industries.
The summit was attended by Air Vice Marshal Sitwat Nayeem, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Ethiopia; Yidenekachew Worku, State Minister of Trade and Regional Integration; and Ambassador Dewano Kedir, Director General for Middle East, Asia and Pacific Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Speakers included Rashed Mahmud, Group Managing Director and CEO of Dipon Group; Gizat Worku, CEO of the Ethiopian Coffee Association; and Zahirul Haq, President of the Africa Bangladesh Business Forum (ABBF). Their remarks highlighted the opportunities for expanded collaboration across trade, technology, agriculture, and investment.
A key moment of the program was the official launch of Kingmansa, a new B2B trade platform aimed at connecting African importers with Bangladeshi exporters. The portal is expected to streamline cross-border business and support long-term partnership growth.
The event concluded with strong engagement from both sides, underscoring the growing interest in building a more strategic and mutually beneficial economic relationship between Africa and Bangladesh.
