Dhaka, Bangladesh — Mutual Trust Bank PLC has partnered with Zaynax Health Ltd. to promote digital account opening services for migrant worker families across Bangladesh through a digital onboarding platform, with support from the United Nations Capital Development Fund.
Under the partnership, the organizations aim to improve financial inclusion by enabling easier access to banking services for families of migrant workers, particularly those living in underserved and remote areas of the country.
The initiative will leverage digital onboarding technology to simplify the account opening process, allowing beneficiaries to access formal financial services more conveniently and securely. The collaboration is also expected to support greater adoption of digital banking and encourage financial literacy among migrant households.
Officials involved in the initiative said the partnership reflects a broader effort to strengthen inclusive finance and expand access to banking services for communities that are often outside the traditional financial ecosystem.
The support from UNCDF is expected to help accelerate the implementation of the project and promote sustainable digital financial solutions tailored for migrant worker families.
Bangladesh receives billions of dollars in remittances every year from overseas workers, making migrant families an important segment for financial inclusion initiatives and digital banking expansion.
