Banglalink Showcases Digital Innovations, Reinforces Investment Commitment at FICCI FDI Conference 2026

Dhaka, 23 July 2026: Banglalink, in partnership with its parent company VEON, showcased a range of digital connectivity and financial inclusion initiatives at the FICCI FDI Conference 2026, reaffirming its long-term commitment to Bangladesh’s digital transformation and investment ecosystem.

The conference, titled “Driving Foreign Investment for Jobs and Prosperity in Bangladesh,” brought together government officials, business leaders, foreign investors, and industry stakeholders to explore opportunities for accelerating foreign direct investment (FDI) and sustainable economic growth.

During the event, the Hon’ble Prime Minister visited the Banglalink exhibition booth, where the company demonstrated several technology-driven solutions designed to advance digital connectivity and financial inclusion across the country.

Among the featured innovations was Starlink Direct to Cell, a next-generation satellite connectivity solution aimed at extending mobile coverage to underserved and remote areas. Banglalink also showcased Mukto Pay, its digital financial services platform that promotes greater financial inclusion, and TechVan, an initiative focused on making smartphones more affordable and accessible for consumers.

The company further highlighted the “Invest in Bangladesh NOW” initiative, which seeks to facilitate USD 1 billion in investments in Bangladesh. The initiative is supported by VEON’s commitment to invest USD 250 million, underscoring the global digital operator’s confidence in Bangladesh’s long-term growth potential.

As an active member of the Foreign Investors’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Banglalink said it remains committed to fostering strong public-private collaboration and supporting policies that attract quality foreign investment, create employment opportunities, and drive inclusive economic development.

The company noted that continued investment in digital infrastructure, financial technology, and innovative connectivity solutions will play a key role in building a more competitive, resilient, and digitally inclusive Bangladesh.
