Dhaka, May 12, 2026 — Bangladesh’s leading electrical and electronics manufacturer Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has launched a new range of premium washing machines equipped with artificial intelligence, inverter technology and advanced wash systems aimed at delivering a more intelligent and convenient laundry experience for consumers.
The newly introduced line-up includes AI-enabled top-loading models — the 8kg WWM-ATT80 and 9kg WWM-ATT90 — which can automatically detect fabric type and load weight, and then select optimal wash settings for improved efficiency and ease of use.
Walton also unveiled several front-loading and advanced-feature models, including the stain wash series WWM-AFB80 and WWM-AFB90 (8kg and 9kg), the steam wash-equipped WWM-AFD80 (8kg), and the 12kg washer-dryer combo WWM-AFC12M. Selected models come with inverter and direct-drive motors designed to enhance energy efficiency, reduce noise, and improve product durability.
The new washing machines were officially launched at an event held at Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka on 12 May.
The launch event was attended by Walton Home and Kitchen Appliance Chief Business Officer Abdullah Al-Zunaid, along with brand ambassador and National Film Award-winning actress Jaya Ahsan, who jointly unveiled the new models. Senior officials from Walton Hi-Tech Industries also attended the programme.
Speaking at the event, Walton Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed said the new models have been designed in response to rising demand for smart home appliances and evolving consumer lifestyles. He added that the integration of advanced technologies and international-standard features will help further strengthen the country’s home appliance market.
Brand ambassador Jaya Ahsan highlighted Walton’s continuous efforts in introducing technologically advanced and affordable products for local consumers, noting that strong R&D efforts have contributed to the brand’s growing popularity both at home and abroad. She also mentioned that Walton products are now exported to more than 55 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
Walton officials further said the company operates a world-class washing machine manufacturing facility in Chandra, Gazipur, producing over 30 models of front-load, top-load automatic and semi-automatic machines. The facility also manufactures commercial-grade washing machines aligned with European energy standards.
The company added that its washing machines feature multiple wash motion technologies for fabric care, touch-screen control panels, stainless steel components, and improved durability designed for long-term household use.
With the latest AI-enabled and energy-efficient additions, Walton aims to expand its footprint in the premium home appliance segment while strengthening its position in both domestic and international markets.
