Dhaka, 26 October 2026: Marketing professional Shafkat Sakin has joined Anwar Group of Industries as General Manager – Marketing & Communications, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey.
In his new role, Sakin will lead marketing and communications for three of the group’s key brands—Anwar Ispat, Anwar Cement and A1 Polymer—according to an announcement shared on his LinkedIn profile.
Sakin brings experience in marketing, brand management and communications across multiple industries. His professional journey has included roles associated with organisations such as IFAD Motors, Niloy Motors, Crown Cement and MGH Group, reflecting his exposure to diverse business sectors and brand-building initiatives.
During his tenure associated with IFAD Motors and Royal Enfield Bangladesh, Sakin also shared insights into motorcycle brand positioning and the evolving local market. In 2025, The Business Standard quoted him in a report examining the growing popularity of motorcycles in Bangladesh.
His appointment at Anwar Group places him in a leadership position overseeing marketing and communications across three established business brands. The role brings together responsibilities spanning brand strategy, market engagement and corporate communications.
