Dhaka, May 18, 2026 — Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has achieved a significant milestone in cybersecurity excellence, as its IT Security Team, CyberSavvy, emerged as the Champion at the “National Cyber Drill 2026.”
The competition, organized by the government’s National Cyber Security Agency, was held on May 16 and brought together 68 organizations from across sectors, including banks, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), telecom companies, and other key industries.
MTB’s CyberSavvy team secured the top position by demonstrating outstanding capabilities in identifying, managing, and mitigating cyber threats in simulated real-world scenarios. The achievement highlights the bank’s strong focus on cybersecurity resilience and its preparedness to tackle evolving digital risks.
Industry experts view such national-level cyber drills as critical platforms for testing institutional readiness, strengthening coordination, and enhancing response strategies against cyberattacks.
The recognition reinforces MTB’s commitment to maintaining robust information security standards and safeguarding customer data in an increasingly digital banking environment.
