Dhaka: Prime Bank PLC has officially entered Bangladesh’s mobile financial services (MFS) market with the launch of LENDEN, a new digital financial services platform operated by its subsidiary, Prime Bank FinTech Limited.

The platform was formally launched on 25 August 2026 at Prime Bank PLC’s head office, Prime View, marking a new chapter in the bank’s digital financial services journey.

LENDEN is designed to provide customers with a simple, secure and convenient mobile-based financial services experience. The platform aims to expand access to digital financial services while contributing to the broader development of Bangladesh’s digital finance ecosystem.

The launch comes after Prime Bank FinTech Limited received approval from Bangladesh Bank in March 2026 to operate MFS services in the country. The regulatory approval enabled the Prime Bank subsidiary to establish its own dedicated MFS brand.

At the launch event, Tanjil Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank PLC, along with G. M. Khurshid Alam, Managing Director of LENDEN, and Sheikh Aminur Rahman, CEO of LENDEN, addressed the gathering. Senior officials from Prime Bank PLC and LENDEN were also present.

Prime Bank FinTech Limited says the platform has been developed with an emphasis on simplicity and security, with a range of MFS features aimed at making everyday financial management easier through mobile devices.

The launch adds another major banking-backed player to Bangladesh’s increasingly competitive MFS sector, where digital payments, mobile money and financial inclusion have become important components of the country’s evolving financial ecosystem.

According to Bangladesh Bank’s payment systems information, LENDEN is now listed among the country’s MFS providers, alongside established services operating in the market.

The entry of Prime Bank’s MFS platform is also expected to intensify competition around digital payments, customer experience, agent and merchant networks, and the development of new digital financial products.

For Prime Bank, the launch represents a broader move into technology-driven financial services, while for consumers it brings another bank-backed option to an increasingly diverse digital finance market.

With LENDEN now officially live, Prime Bank FinTech Limited is expected to focus on expanding the platform’s reach, strengthening its digital ecosystem and introducing further services as it moves into the next phase of its operations.
