The 4th edition of the Bangladesh Fintech Awards recognised 21 initiatives across 13 categories, highlighting innovation and progress in the country’s financial services industry.
Dhaka, October 11, 2026: Twenty-one fintech initiatives were recognised at the 4th Bangladesh Fintech Awards 2026, held on October 10 at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka. The awards celebrated organisations and initiatives contributing to the development of digital financial services in Bangladesh.
Of the 21 recognitions, 13 initiatives were named winners across 13 categories, while eight received Honourable Mention distinctions. The awards highlighted efforts to improve financial service delivery, expand access to financial solutions, and accelerate the adoption of digital finance.
Organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum under the initiative of Bangladesh Fintech Forum, the event was presented with Mastercard as the courtesy partner, Dhaka Bank PLC as the orchestrating partner, and upay as the supporting partner.
This year’s edition attracted 207 nominations, which were assessed through a multi-stage evaluation process by four Grand Jury Panels comprising experienced industry professionals. The final selections reflected the panels’ assessments of the initiatives and their contributions to the fintech ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Shariful Islam, Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum and Founder of Bangladesh Innovation Conclave, emphasised that the real value of fintech lies in its ability to deliver meaningful benefits to people and businesses.
He noted that innovations making financial services more accessible, reliable, and effective deserve recognition, adding that such achievements can encourage further investment in solutions addressing practical needs and strengthening Bangladesh’s financial future.
Bangladesh Fintech Summit Focuses on Trust, Infrastructure and Innovation
The awards ceremony followed the 6th Bangladesh Fintech Summit, which took place at the same venue earlier in the day. The summit brought together senior executives from banking and fintech, investors, regulatory representatives, technology specialists, startup founders, academics, and researchers to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the financial services industry.
The discussions centred on several key priorities for the sector, including strengthening digital financial infrastructure, extending financial services to underserved populations, improving customer confidence, and expanding the role of technology in financial service delivery.
The summit featured two keynote sessions, three panel discussions, an Expert Deep Dive, an Insight Session, and a Case Study.
Among the keynote speakers was Naushad Hussain, Chief Banking and Network Officer at TransFi Global, who shared perspectives on the changing regional banking landscape and the growing importance of connectivity across financial systems.
Another keynote was delivered by Khuan Yu Lee, Executive Director and Regional Head of Product at GXBank, GXBank and Grab. Drawing on his experience in digital banking and global payments, he discussed the importance of earning customer trust in building and scaling a digital bank.
Other sessions explored the intersection of artificial intelligence and digital banking, the transition towards cashless transactions, interoperability between financial services, secure financial infrastructure, and the role of effective regulation and oversight in enabling responsible innovation.
Together, the summit and awards highlighted the importance of collaboration among financial institutions, technology companies, regulators, and entrepreneurs in advancing Bangladesh’s digital finance ecosystem.
