Dhaka, 28 July 2026: Southeast Bank PLC. has successfully concluded a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), aimed at equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with essential business and leadership skills.
The closing ceremony was held on 16 July 2026 at the Technical Training Centre (TTC), Narayanganj. The initiative trained 25 aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities and prepare for sustainable business growth.
The program is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented under the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Bank as part of efforts to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and private sector development in Bangladesh.
Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director & CEO of Southeast Bank PLC., attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Md. Masum Billah, Program Director and Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the Guest of Honour.
The event was also attended by Mohammad Wasim, Deputy Program Director (Programs) and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, and Md. Masum Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC., as Special Guests, alongside senior officials of the bank and the participating entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the event, Southeast Bank reaffirmed its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and developing skilled business leaders through collaborative initiatives that contribute to Bangladesh’s economic growth and industrial competitiveness.
The Entrepreneurship Development Program forms part of the broader SICIP initiative, which focuses on enhancing workforce skills, fostering innovation, and strengthening the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
