Dhaka, June 30, 2026: Leading Bangladeshi conglomerate DBL Group has appointed Shanta Equity Limited as the issue manager for the proposed initial public offerings (IPOs) of two of its subsidiaries, marking a significant step in the group’s capital market expansion strategy.
The appointment will support the preparation and execution of the planned public offerings, including regulatory compliance, valuation, documentation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders throughout the listing process.
According to DBL Group, the proposed IPOs are intended to strengthen the group’s presence in Bangladesh’s capital market while providing investors with an opportunity to participate in the future growth of two of its profitable business units. The move also reflects the group’s broader strategy of unlocking value from its diversified operations and creating new avenues for long-term capital formation.
DBL Group is one of Bangladesh’s largest business conglomerates, with interests spanning textiles, apparel manufacturing, textiles recycling, ceramics, renewable energy, information technology, and healthcare. Over the years, the group has established itself as a major exporter and employer, contributing significantly to the country’s industrial growth.
The group already maintains a presence in the stock market through Matin Spinning Mills PLC, which was listed on the country’s capital market in 2014. The planned listings of additional subsidiaries are expected to further diversify investment opportunities for institutional and retail investors alike.
Industry analysts view the development as a positive signal for Bangladesh’s capital market, as more large private-sector companies explore public listings to raise growth capital, improve corporate governance, and enhance transparency.
While details regarding the size, timeline, and valuation of the proposed IPOs have not yet been disclosed, the appointment of an issue manager is typically one of the initial milestones in the public listing process.
The upcoming IPOs, once completed, could further strengthen DBL Group’s market footprint and offer investors exposure to some of the group’s high-performing business segments.
