Dhaka — Cartup has appointed Syed Amirul Islam as Director – Growth, strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its expansion in Bangladesh’s e-commerce sector.
With more than 15 years of experience, Islam brings expertise in e-commerce, digital growth, performance marketing, product development, and data-driven business transformation. In his new role, he will focus on driving growth initiatives, enhancing marketing performance, and improving customer experience as the platform scales.
Prior to joining Cartup, he served at ACI Logistics Limited (Shwapno), where he led growth, digital, and e-commerce platform development. His tenure saw improvements in revenue scaling, conversion optimization, fulfillment efficiency, and overall customer experience.
He also held leadership roles at Pathao and Sheba.xyz, where he contributed to user acquisition, marketplace expansion, and performance optimization. Earlier in his career, he founded Ambidextrousbd, a digital venture delivering web development, SEO, and growth solutions across a wide range of projects.
Industry observers note that the appointment reflects the increasing emphasis on data-driven growth and customer-centric strategies among Bangladesh’s emerging e-commerce platforms.
