Akij Resource has appointed Zahidul Hassan, a retired major, as Head of Corporate Services, reinforcing its leadership team with an experienced professional in administration, human resources and corporate governance.
With more than 37 years of professional experience, including two decades in the Bangladesh Army, Zahidul Hassan brings extensive expertise in HR strategy, administrative governance, industrial relations, policy development and large-scale facility management.
In his new role, he will oversee corporate services functions and support the company’s efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, workplace culture and governance standards. The appointment is also expected to contribute to enhancing organizational effectiveness through strategic leadership and disciplined execution.
Before joining Akij Resource, he held senior leadership roles at Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, Abdul Monem Limited, Pandughar Group and Bashundhara Group, where he contributed across corporate administration, industrial management and strategic operations.
According to the company, his appointment reflects Akij Resource’s focus on strengthening corporate services capabilities and leadership capacity as it continues to support evolving business and workforce needs.
