A total of 64 organisations and initiatives have been recognised at the 3rd edition of the Bangladesh Retail Awards 2026, celebrating excellence in innovation, technology adoption, and customer-centric practices in the country’s retail sector.
The award ceremony was held on Saturday at the Radisson Blu Water Garden in Dhaka, jointly organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum and Bangladesh Retail Forum. Singer Bangladesh Ltd. and Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd. served as power partners.
This year, 40 winners and 24 honourable mentions were selected across 26 categories, from a total of 347 nominations submitted by 53 organisations. Winners were chosen through multiple jury sessions evaluating performance, innovation, and impact.
Key Winners
Shwapno was named Best Retail Organization of the Year, marking a major highlight of the event.

- Best Retailer (Fashion & Apparels): Sailor
- Best Retailer (Electronics): Singer Bangladesh Ltd.
- Best Retailer (Footwear): Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd.
- Best Retailer (Banks): City Bank PLC
- Best Retailer (Food & Beverage): Tasty Treat
- Honourable Mention (Restaurants): Domino’s Pizza Bangladesh
Special Categories
Shwapno and Prime Bank PLC were recognised as Most Innovative Retail Brands of the Year 2025. Electro Mart Limited received the award for Emerging Retailer of the Year.
Other notable recognitions included:
- Best Retail Strategy: International Distribution Company Bangladesh PLC, Singer Bangladesh Ltd.
- Best Retail Startup: PriyoShop
Digital & Innovation Highlights
Companies leading in digital transformation and retail innovation included:
Grameenphone Ltd., bKash Limited, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, and Software Shop Limited.
In the lifestyle and food segment, Mithai, Tasty Treat, Miniso Bangladesh, and Domino’s Pizza Bangladesh (Honourable Mention) were also recognised for their contributions.
Industry Outlook
Organisers stated that the awards aim to recognise organisations driving change in Bangladesh’s rapidly evolving retail landscape, particularly in areas such as omnichannel retail, e-commerce, and technology-enabled customer experience.
Prior to the award ceremony, the Bangladesh Retail Congress 2026 was held, where industry leaders discussed retail transformation, digital commerce, and emerging market trends.
Stakeholders noted that the initiative is not only a recognition platform but also a catalyst for building a more competitive and innovation-driven retail ecosystem in Bangladesh.
