Dhaka, 16 September 2026: Chartered Life Insurance Company PLC policyholders will now be able to pay insurance premiums and admissible fees through United Commercial Bank PLC’s (UCB) digital and physical distribution channels under a new partnership between the two institutions.
The agreement enables customers to make payments through UCB ONE Internet Banking, UCB’s Payment Gateway and other secure digital channels, as well as UCB branches, sub-branches and Agent Banking outlets.
The partnership combines UCB’s digital payment infrastructure with its nationwide distribution network, giving Chartered Life Insurance customers more options to pay their premiums without relying on a single payment channel.
The arrangement is expected to make premium collection more accessible by allowing policyholders to use both online and in-person payment services according to their preference.
Through the collaboration, Chartered Life Insurance aims to facilitate a more convenient payment process for its policyholders, while UCB will provide the banking and digital infrastructure required to support premium and fee collection.
The partnership reflects the growing use of digital payment platforms in insurance services, alongside traditional branch and agent-based channels.
