Dhaka, 9 October 2026:
TETON Private Ltd.’s AI-powered cardiac screening solution, myECGAI, has won the Champion Award in the Organisation (Consumer) category at the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2026, marking a significant recognition for homegrown innovation in healthcare technology.
The device was among nine innovations selected for Champion Awards at the ceremony, organised by the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Network (BIN) at BRAC University in Dhaka on October 3. The awards recognised 44 innovations from 355 submitted projects, following a competitive evaluation process.
Presented by Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Minister for Science and Technology, the awards recognise technology-driven solutions with potential for practical application and wider public benefit.
AI-powered technology for faster cardiac screening
Developed by TETON Private Ltd., myECGAI combines a portable electrocardiogram (ECG) device with artificial intelligence-powered analysis to make cardiac screening faster and more accessible.
According to the company, the solution can conduct a cardiac test in approximately 30 seconds, analyse results for 16 cardiac conditions and share reports instantly. The technology has been developed in collaboration with the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and validated by the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh.
By bringing ECG testing and AI-based analysis together in a portable solution, myECGAI aims to support more convenient cardiac screening and broaden access to technology-enabled healthcare.
Recognition among 355 innovations
The Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2026 attracted 355 projects submitted by organisations, educational institutions, individuals and teams. Of these, 118 projects advanced to the final evaluation stage.
A 40-member judging panel comprising representatives from government, banking, corporate organisations, academia, chambers, startups and technology journalism assessed the submissions based on originality, public utility, commercial potential and technical quality.
The awards presented nine Champion Awards, 10 Winner Awards and 25 Innovation Merit Awards across the recognised categories.
The Champion and Winner innovations will be nominated to represent Bangladesh at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2026, creating an opportunity for the country’s technology solutions to gain wider regional exposure.
Advancing locally developed healthcare innovation
The recognition highlights the growing role of locally developed technology in addressing practical challenges across essential sectors, including healthcare.
For TETON Private Ltd., the Champion Award marks an important milestone for myECGAI and its potential contribution to AI-enabled cardiac screening. It also reflects the broader opportunity for Bangladeshi innovators to develop technology solutions that combine technical capability with practical applications and public benefit.
As artificial intelligence continues to create new possibilities in healthcare, innovations such as myECGAI demonstrate how collaboration between technology developers and medical institutions can help bring advanced screening tools closer to patients and healthcare providers.
